Whiplash Injury and Auto Accidents
Whiplash injuries from auto accidents are extremely common.
In fact, The Association For Safe International Road Travel estimated that about 2.35 million are injured or disabled due to auto collisions in the United States.
Interestingly enough, it has been known that the use of seat belts can save lives. However, it can also increase the chance of injury in a collision.
As a chiropractor in the Upland community, we want to provide useful information if you have been in an auto accident in the San Bernardino County.
What are common symptoms experienced after an Auto Collision?
You may experience things like:
- Headaches
- Shoulder pain or tension
- Muscle Spasm
- Neck Pain
- Feeling Fatigue or loss of energy
- Irritability
One thing to keep in mind is that you may not feel symptoms right away. There is a phenomenon called Delayed Onset soreness. It is common for symptoms to arrive a day or more after the accident. It can even take weeks before feeling issues. It may be beneficial to be assessed by a chiropractor near you as soon as possible, even if you are not experiencing symptoms right away.
