5 Apps to Stop Boredom
As we respect officials request to stay home, we thought we would help by creating a list of our favorite apps. Many of us have reached a new level of boredom, and crave to have some form of interaction with others. Here are 5 apps to not only keep the boredom away, but help you accomplish something in the meantime.
1) Headspace
Headspace is an app that helps many people to relax, meditate, and calm the mind. You can try free for 7 days if you subscribe monthly, or 14 days if you subscribe annually. This has meditations that can range from 3 – 20 minutes, and can help you find peace when you need it most. They have programs for stress and anxiety, falling asleep, performance mindset, work & productivity and many more.
2) ThenX
This is one of Dr. Robert’s favorite apps for free workouts. There is a subscription option, but you are able to use features of the app for free. They have daily workouts for every level of fitness. However, the workouts can be challenging. So, if this app is not the right fit for your goals, there are many other apps if you just search “workout for men/women.” Most apps have a paid option or free options.
3) Duolingo
This is one of the best apps out there that is free and user friendly. You can learn words and phrases regarding travel, family, restaurants, etc. It is a great way to practice while staying at home and practice communicating with friends and family.
4) Words with Friends
This app has been around for awhile. But it is a great way to be a little competitive with many friends and family members. Its a fun and easy game that many can interact with. Whether you are playing with one friend or multiple friends, reach out to someone and start a game of scrabble digitally from the convenience of your home.
5) Draw Something
Draw something is a digital version of pictionary. Challenge your friends to a guessing game by drawing stick figures or elaborate pictures. You don’t need to be a Picasso. Beginner and advanced artists can all have fun during this friendly competition with loved ones.
Remember, we are all in this together. Reach out to someone and see how they are doing. Share some of the apps with friends, and have an ongoing interaction with others. We all need the help and support from each other. Share love. Share laughter. Share memories!
