Stop Making Health So Complicated
Health is not complicated.
Unfortunately, too many people make it to be much more difficult than it is.
There are so many different health fads that require you to make drastic changes in your life.
Ok, let me take a moment to say that some of you really do need to make a drastic change. However, I know to many people that make drastic changes for a short period of time, and they end up falling right back where they were…sometimes worse!
This is why I always encourage people to take what they are already doing and make subtle changes in their life.
Here are a few examples that you can consider:
Going on a date?
- Go hiking together
- Go for a bike ride
- Go for a walk around the park
- Cook a healthy meal together
Hanging out with friends?
- Have a meal prepping party
- Play a sport together
- Go dancing
On a computer?
- Get or create a standing desk to allow movement
- Sit on a stability ball for 10 minutes every hour
Watching TV?
- Walk on a treadmill for 30-60 minutes
- Ride an elliptical machine for 60 minutes
- Do push ups, hold planks, walk in place during every commercial
Becoming healthy just takes some planning and deciding to not make anymore excuses.
Remember, health is not complicated. It’s actually quite simple, we just make it more complicated than it really is.
